AIA Foundation Marks 30 Years With 100 Scholarships, Celebrating Graduates' Success
AIA Foundation marked its 30th anniversary by awarding scholarships to 100 undergraduate students, the 5th cohort, on 3 October 2025. The ceremony, held at the AIA Hong Kong headquarters, celebrated the graduation of the 2nd cohort of AIA Scholarships awardees. Since its inception in 2020, AIA has committed US$100 million to support 100 students annually from various Hong Kong universities.
Co-chairmen of the AIA Scholarships Committee, Jacky Chan and Stuart A. Spencer, expressed that the scholarship serves as a platform for nurturing future leaders. King Chan, a scholar representative, shared his journey of pursuing his dream of becoming a clinical psychologist, empowered by the scholarship. Hins Cheung, a singer and AIA Rethink Healthy ambassador, shared personal experiences of resilience and purpose at the ceremony. Ms. Mabel Ng, a graduate representative, reflected on how the scholarship helped her overcome adversity and find her calling in education.
AIA Scholarships provides more than financial support. It offers networking events, learning programs, and community service initiatives. The organization behind the 'AIA Purpose in Action' initiative, in collaboration with Microsoft Hong Kong and Macau, HandsOn Hong Kong, AIA Vitality Hub, and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, is the AIA Foundation. Since its launch, the initiative has supported nearly 500 scholars and celebrated over 140 scholar graduates.
The AIA Scholarships ceremony commemorated the 30th anniversary of AIA Foundation and celebrated the achievements of its scholars. The scholarship, more than just financial aid, offers opportunities for growth and leadership development. As the 5th cohort begins their academic journey, AIA continues its commitment to supporting education, health, and community development in Hong Kong.
