The Youth and Citizens' Centre Werden (JuBB) is hosting a unique opportunity for children and young people aged 10 to 14, as they present the film workshop #WeAreI from October 13 to 16, 2025. This four-day event is funded by the Kulturrucksack Essen/NRW and will be led by artist Britta L.QL.

During the workshop, participants will embark on an exciting journey, creating a short film from the first idea to the grand premiere. The focus of the workshop is not just on film technique, but also on personal perspectives, ideas, and identities. This provides a platform for young minds to express themselves creatively and explore their individuality.

Roles available in the film creation process include director, camera operator, actor, make-up artist, and editor. Participants will have the chance to try their hand at various aspects of filmmaking, allowing them to discover their strengths and interests in this field.

Each day, the workshop will run from 10:00 to 16:30. Catering is provided during the workshop, ensuring that participants stay energised and focused throughout the day. At the end of the workshop, the finished work will be presented on a large screen, offering a chance for participants to see their creations come to life.

Participation in the #WeAreI film workshop is free, making it an accessible opportunity for all interested young people. Prior registration by email is required and can be done through the [email protected] website.

Britta L.QL, who is a participant involved in the film workshop #WeAreI, is excited about the upcoming event. She believes that this workshop will not only foster creativity but also encourage teamwork and self-expression among the participants.

So, if you're a child or young person aged 10 to 14 with a passion for film or a desire to explore your creative side, don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity. Register for the #WeAreI film workshop today and embark on a journey of filmmaking and self-discovery.
