Award Opportunities for Academic Recognition in Fall 2022
At our institution, a vibrant community of learners from diverse backgrounds is thriving, with scholarships available for new enrollees in various adult learner categories. These scholarships can be combined with other forms of aid to make our programs more accessible and affordable.
One such success story belongs to Sharla Fossen, the winner of the AOS in Digital Photography. As an entrepreneur who owns two businesses, Sharla believes that high-quality photos can increase the chances of capturing a prospective customer's attention. She aims to utilise her photography skills to enhance her businesses, particularly for social media marketing.
Another inspiring tale comes from Sharla's fellow alumna, Kathy Martin, who took home the AOS in Graphic Design. Kathy, a 51-year-old mother of a 16-year-old son with multiple disabilities, returned to school for personal and professional reasons, aiming to become a successful graphic designer. Her resilience and determination have paid off, as she now designs invitations, flyers, brochures, and other materials with a keen eye for detail.
Konstantinos Marmaridis, an international student and winner of the AOS in Graphic Design, has travelled across the world. With a passion for art that dates back to his childhood, where he built landscapes, sculptures, and art, Konstantinos is now ready to make a big change in Thessaloniki, Greece, with his graphic design skills. He believes that studying graphic design will benefit him in various fields such as art, management, and marketing.
Lucas Cosseboom, the winner of the BFA in Illustration, is a bridge student who recently moved to Japan. Lucas found our institution through online research, seeking a non-traditional art degree program. He values the institution's advisors and instructors for their guidance and real-life experiences in the field.
Our institution's President, Gordon Drummond, warmly welcomes diverse students with learning goals and creative aspirations. As our institution continues to grow and evolve, we look forward to seeing more success stories like those of Sharla, Kathy, Konstantinos, and Lucas.
