BMW has opened the Talent Campus in Munich, a central hub for vocational and further training. This significant investment is seen as a vote of confidence in Germany's automotive industry and its economic location.

The Talent Campus, built with a 'mid double-digit million amount', is the latest addition to BMW's total investment of one billion euros in training over the past three years. It's not solely focused on electric mobility, reflecting BMW's technology-open approach.

Federal Minister of Economics Katherina Reiche praised BMW's commitment, stating it's a vote of confidence in Germany's competitiveness. She also commended the German chemical industry association (VCI) and the Federation of German Industry (BDI) for their support of key energy transition measures. Meanwhile, Martin Kimmich, chairman of BMW AG's general works council, called for the Minister of Economics to advocate for a shift away from the combustion engine ban.

Directly connected to the rest of the factory grounds, the Talent Campus encourages knowledge exchange between production and apprentices' learning. It offers an optimized learning environment for the 40,000 employees at the Munich site, featuring a warm, inviting atmosphere dominated by wood.
