CBSE Announces 2026 Exam Dates; Late Registration Open
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the exam dates for classes 10 and 12 for 2026. Around 45 lakh candidates are expected to appear for 204 subjects. The CBSE has also reopened the LOC portal for late registrations, with a deadline of 11th October, 2025, and late fees applicable.
The CBSE has released the tentative datesheet for the class 10 exams, which will be held from 17th February to 9th March, 2026. Similarly, class 12 exams will commence from 17th February and conclude on 9th April, 2026. Students are advised to check the official CBSE website for any updates.
The CBSE has warned schools that failure to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) by the portal release deadline of 8th October, 2025, may result in their students being ineligible for the board exams. The LOC portal has been reopened due to many students not filling their forms earlier. Students can now submit their LOC form through cbse.gov.in till 11th October, 2025, with late fees.
The CBSE has urged all schools to submit their LOCs on time to ensure their students' eligibility for the board exams. Students are also advised to check the official website regularly for important updates and to submit their LOC forms before the extended deadline.
