Ceremony Holds at Hague Town Hall: Introduction of Fresh Law Enforcement and Administrative Personnel
Graduation Celebrations at HSPV NRW in Hagen
On August 29, 2025, a significant milestone was reached at the University of Police and Public Administration North Rhine-Westphalia (HSPV NRW) in Hagen. A total of 188 students from the Police Service (PVD) and 97 from the Municipal Administrative Service (KVD) received their bachelor's degrees.
The graduation ceremonies, held at Hagen City Hall, were filled with a sense of accomplishment and anticipation for the future. The top graduates of the year were awarded during the ceremony, and HSPV Vice-President Prof. Dr. Iris Wiesner emphasized the importance of academic qualification for the graduates' future tasks.
Imam Turan, a representative of the three major religions, gave words of inspiration at the ceremony. He emphasized the importance of unity and understanding in today's diverse society. Hagen's Mayor Erik O. Schulz and Police President Ursula Tomahogh also delivered greetings, wishing the graduates success in their future careers.
The group "Ich und Du" provided musical accompaniment, adding a touch of celebration to the proceedings. The student representative body looked back on their years at HSPV NRW and forward to their professional careers in the police, municipal and state administration, and pension insurance.
HSPV NRW offers six bachelor's degree programs: Administrative Informatics (B.A.), State Administrative Service - General Administration (LL.B.), Police Service (B.A.), Municipal Administrative Service - General Administration (LL.B.), Municipal Administrative Service - Administrative Economics (B.A.), and Pension Insurance (LL.B.). Additionally, the university offers a Master of Public Management (MPM) program.
