City Music School Adjusts Fees to Maintain Quality and Diversity
The city's music school is adjusting its fees to ensure long-term high-quality and diverse offerings for all age groups. Mayor Patrick Burghardt backs the changes, highlighting the school's importance to the city's cultural life.
Fees for adult individual lessons will rise by 30%, and group lessons by 20%. Meanwhile, children's and young people's group lessons will increase by 10%. The monthly fee for musical early education will be 33 euros, and 72 euros for 30-minute weekly lessons. Fees for elementary and primary stage courses, and children's individual lessons will also rise by 20%.
Despite these increases, discounts and support opportunities will continue for students, trainees, volunteers, and those with disabilities. The music school aims to keep lessons accessible to all. Malte von der Lühe, head of the music school department, reaffirms the goal of maintaining quality and diversity in offerings.
