College Investigations Conducted by Students

One such student is Tanisha Shende, a third-year mathematics, computer science, and sociology student. She has conducted research in computational astrophysics, human-computer interaction, and educational disparities. Aisha Muradi, a second-year student in 3-2 engineering with a data science concentration, works on applying machine learning to opioid overdose data.

Their research efforts contribute to enhancing student learning, advancing faculty research, and improving social well-being through varied interdisciplinary projects. In addition to their research, both Shende and Muradi hold leadership roles in the Oberlin Undergraduate Research Institute, serving as Research Ambassadors.
