In a significant stride towards enhancing financial literacy and empowerment in Namibia, NAMFISA, in collaboration with Green Enterprise Solutions, has unveiled the Consumer Education Website. The launch event, held at NAMFISA's Head Office in Windhoek, was marked by the official address of CEO Mr. Kenneth S. Matomola and a presentation by Mr. Peter Kafidi, General Manager of ICT at NAMFISA, on the website's key features.

The Consumer Education Website is designed to function as a public-facing resource hub, providing reliable, easy-to-access information about the non-bank financial sector. Its primary purpose is to educate consumers and promote financial empowerment across Namibia, supporting informed financial decisions for the public.

Some of the website's key features include an enhanced consumer education engagements calendar, featuring workplace forums and roadshows to reach various audiences effectively. The platform offers a variety of educational resources, such as games, comics, videos, and audio materials, aimed at making financial education accessible and engaging.

Dedicated sections for consumer protection and complaints guidance are also available, helping users understand their rights and how to resolve issues. The website includes a market conduct section that informs consumers about financial market behaviors and regulatory standards. A news and events section keeps consumers updated on relevant financial news and upcoming educational activities.

To ensure secure access to financial regulatory information while complying with data protection standards, the platform boasts strengthened cybersecurity measures, including a secure content management system. The Consumer Education Website is seamlessly integrated with the NAMFISA corporate website for optimized referencing.

The launch of the Consumer Education Website signifies a milestone in enhancing financial literacy and public empowerment. By equipping Namibians, both urban and rural, with practical, relevant financial knowledge, the platform aims to support financial inclusion and consumer protection nationwide.

With its user-friendly design and comprehensive resources, the Consumer Education Website is set to become an invaluable tool for promoting financial education and empowerment in Namibia. For more information, visit the website at [www.consumer-education.na](http://www.consumer-education.na).
