Development and Alumni Relations at a certain institution appoints Stephanie Fisher as their Associate Vice President.
Stephanie Fisher, who has been a dedicated member of Lehigh University's team since 2017, has assumed the position of Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations on a permanent basis, effective July 1, 2025.
Fisher, who previously served as the executive director of Development and Alumni Relations, has shown great enthusiasm about continuing her work in this new role. She leads a dynamic team that includes Alumni Relations, a group of individuals who are deeply committed to their work and to the alumni of Lehigh.
One of Fisher's key focuses is on mentorship, a strategy she believes is extremely beneficial for current students. She emphasises the desire of alumni to assist students and sees this as a crucial aspect of her role. Fisher is keen to ensure that the university does not forget about young alumni, who she believes are an important part of the university's population.
Fisher believes that engaging with young alumni is crucial for the university's success. She has overseen young alumni engagement in her previous roles at Lehigh and has learned about the passion of Lehigh alumni for the university and their desire to see it succeed.
Fisher also sees young alumni engagement as part of a pipeline for the university. She is highlighting the "Future Makers" work that the alumni are already doing in the real world. By fostering these connections, Fisher aims to strengthen the university's alumni network, which she believes is incredibly powerful.
Fisher has enjoyed meeting and interacting with Lehigh alumni throughout her time at the university. She believes that having young alumni buy into all that the university does is important for their engagement and connection. She is looking forward to the challenges at this critical time in higher education.
Before her current position, Fisher served as the director of class affinity at Lehigh, a role she was promoted to in 2021. Prior to this, she began working at Lehigh in 2017 as an associate director of class affinity.
It is worth noting that Claudia Eilles-Matthiessen took over the position as permanent Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations in 2024, while Fisher was on a temporary basis in the role. Fisher's permanent appointment to this position marks a significant milestone in her career at Lehigh University.
