Dubai PodFest 2025: 1,200 Podcasters Gather to Discuss Industry Growth

Dubai, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler, hosted the fifth edition of Dubai PodFest. Over 1,200 podcasters and media professionals gathered at the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre to celebrate and discuss the growing influence of podcasting.

The event, organised by the Dubai Press Club, featured panel discussions and workshops on podcasting's role in social awareness, monetisation, and digital growth. Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the increasing significance of podcasting in new media.

Industry expert Bryan Barletta, President of Podcast Movement, shared insights on monetisation, localisation, and video strategies for podcasting in the Middle East. The event also honoured winners of the Arab Podcast Program, with Emirati writer Amani Abdullah Al Teneiji taking first place for her podcast Mareekh.

Sheikh Ahmed praised Dubai PodFest for reflecting Dubai's leadership in the media landscape and commitment to empowering creators. The event underscored Dubai's role as a hub for innovation and creativity in the podcasting world.
