Durham University Opens First India Office, Celebrates Global Diversity

Durham University, renowned for its academic excellence and global connections, is celebrating its international diversity and strengthening ties worldwide. The university, currently hosting its Durham Global Week, has recently opened its first office in India, adding to its existing collaborations and alumni base there. Meanwhile, its Day Nursery has received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted, and its sports camps are engaging local children during half-term.

Durham University's commitment to international engagement is evident in its partnerships and events. It is twinned with Zaporizhzhia National University in Ukraine, and has hosted a Ukraine Talk Series led by Dr Markian Prokopovych, with the next event scheduled for March 2nd at the Gala Theatre. The university condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine and has actively supported Ukrainian students and scholars, alongside student-led activities.

The university's global reach extends to India, where it has opened its first office and has active research collaborations.
