Educational Institutions' Staff Overseen by the Home Ministry
In a bid to ensure child safety on roads around schools, Kazakhstan has launched a comprehensive special operation named "Attention - Children!" from August 31 to September 9.
Improving Road Safety Infrastructure
Under this operation, various measures have been taken to improve road safety infrastructure near educational institutions. Pedestrian traffic lights, speed bumps, road signs, information panels, fences, and designated parking areas have been installed to make the surroundings safer for children [1].
Enhanced Police Presence
District inspectors and criminal investigators have been assigned to every school and college to closely monitor safety and enforce traffic rules. From September 1 to 9, patrols will be positioned as close as possible to schools and colleges as part of the preventive campaign to reduce road traffic injuries involving children [1].

The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Bauyrzhan Alenov, reported on the safety measures for children during the new academic year [4]. Each school and college will have assigned local police officers, and detectives will also be assigned to educational institutions [1][2].
