Embracing the 2024-2025 School Year!

The Princeton University blog, TigerBlog, is set to return on October 9, 2021, with a fresh lineup of correspondents. Among the new additions are Advik Eswaran, Angel Toasakul, Stanley Stoutamire, Ignacio Arias Philippi, and Nathan Nguyen, all Class of 2027, and Ignacio Arias Philippi, Class of 2025 [1, 2].

Advik Eswaran, with research interests in glaciology, paleoclimate, climate science, machine learning, and Earth history, will bring a unique perspective to the blog. Angel Toasakul, concentrating in Neuroscience, will focus on topics related to Neuroscience, Memory, Cognitive Science, Neurochemistry, Neurobiology, and Healthcare. Stanley Stoutamire, a Social Sciences Correspondent, will delve into various social sciences-related subjects. Ignacio Arias Philippi, with research interests in legal history, German language and culture, polyliteracy, and paleography, will offer insights into these areas [1].

Nathan Nguyen, who is also an Engineering Correspondent, has research interests in Bioengineering, Biomolecular Engineering, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Renewable Energy, Machine Learning and AI. Yubi Mamiya, another Engineering Correspondent, has a wide range of research interests including Artificial Intelligence, Neurotechnology, Disease and Disorders, Mental Health, Reproductive Justice, Healthcare, Educational Equity, Sustainability, Music and Art in Social Movements, and Computer Science [1, 3].

Joining the newcomers are returning blog correspondents Alexis Wu '25, Rebecca Cho '26, and Yubi Mamiya '27. Virginia Cobbs '25 has been appointed as the Chief Correspondent, returning after a successful tenure. With research interests in racism in healthcare, tech mediated bias in criminal justice, bumble bee social behavior, and Parkinson's Disease, Cobbs is set to provide thought-provoking insights [4].

While the TigerBlog is primarily known for its sports coverage, it seems that other Princeton communications staff engage with students on a variety of research topics. For instance, Ambreen Ali and David Mayorga, involved in media strategy and communications at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, co-host a podcast interviewing students about research topics including justice and policy issues [5].

However, a comprehensive public list of Princeton University blog correspondents and their research interests is not readily available. For specific correspondent identities and their research specialties, direct Princeton University blog pages or official university communications would need to be consulted.
