Employment agency for young people based in Neuss, Rhine region
A New Initiative to Boost Youth Employability in Rhein-Kreis Neuss
A groundbreaking collaboration between various local entities has given rise to the Youth Career Agency (YCA) in Rhein-Kreis Neuss. This new initiative aims to support young people aged 25 and under (with flexibility for those up to 29) by providing them with the resources, guidance, and opportunities they need to succeed in their careers.
The YCA will serve as a central hub, connecting schools, the Employment Agency, Job Center, Youth Welfare Offices, and the Municipal Coordination of the state initiative "No Final Exam Without Follow-up." This collaborative effort will lead to an improved infrastructure, with all offices having access to a common network, ensuring no duplicate structures and providing specific help where needed.
The YCA's primary focus is on providing easily accessible counseling and support to young people in finding training and employment after school. It will offer career exposure events, mentorship programs, real opportunities like internships and apprenticeships, and holistic career guidance tailored to contemporary labor market needs.
Rainer Imkamp, Chairman of the Management Board of the Employment Agency, expressed his pleasure with the new establishment, believing it will further improve counseling and integration opportunities for young people. Sabine Hustedt, Managing Director of the Jobcenter Rhein-Kreis Neuss, emphasized the goal of supporting young people as best and as uncomplicated as possible.
The YCA will act as a single point of contact for young people, regardless of their specific needs, such as seeking a training position, receiving benefits, dealing with substance abuse, or needing a kindergarten place. It will also provide a contact person for young people's problems and will be accessible to supporting persons in the environment of the young people, such as school social workers.
The event was attended by District Administrator Hans-Jürgen Petrauschke and District Director Dirk Brügge, who endorsed the initiative. The cities of Neuss, Grevenbroich, Dormagen, Kaarst, Meerbusch, Korschenbroich, and Jüchen, as well as the municipality of Rommerskirchen, were also involved in the event.
The YCA will operate under the KAoA umbrella, allowing schools to be involved in the monitoring of young people. Regular round tables will be held by the Communal KAoA Coordination Office with the Employment Agency, Job Center, and Youth Welfare Offices to establish and further develop desired cooperation and resulting structures.
The YCA will not receive additional staff. Instead, existing staff from the Employment Agency, Job Center, and Youth Welfare Offices will be more closely connected to young people through networking. The agency plans to conduct joint activities to make young people aware of the available support and offers.
In conclusion, the Youth Career Agency in Rhein-Kreis Neuss is a significant step towards enhancing youth employability and career readiness in the region. By fostering collaboration between local authorities, educational institutions, and external partners, the YCA aims to bridge educational outcomes with labor market demands efficiently, providing young people with the tools they need to succeed in their careers.
Young people in Rhein-Kreis Neuss can access additional resources for education and self-development through the Youth Career Agency (YCA), as it collaborates with schools, the Employment Agency, Job Center, Youth Welfare Offices, and more.
