A Growing Football Camp: Since its inception in 2022, the football camp organised by SV Jördenstorf has experienced steady growth. This year, the camp saw a record-breaking participation of 115 children, marking a near-double increase compared to its inaugural year.
A Family-Oriented Atmosphere: One of the factors contributing to the camp's success is its family-friendly environment. Players like Mila Werschmüller, a 14-year-old member of SV Jördenstorf, appreciate the club's commitment to providing additional time for personal growth outside of football.
Continuity and Teamwork: Despite the change in organisers due to the pandemic, with the football camp previously being run by professional clubs like BVB and VfL Bochum, SV Jördenstorf has managed to maintain a strong team spirit. Gerold Pehl, one of the club's chairmen, confirms that everyone has been working together seamlessly throughout the week.
Consistent Participation: Approximately 40 to 50% of the young players have been attending the camp since its inception in 2022, demonstrating a strong commitment from the participants and their families.
Expanding Horizons: Looking ahead, SV Jördenstorf aims to expand the camp's capacity by adding more training groups and extending the duration of the camp. The club is also investing in upgrading facilities, such as training pitches, and introducing specialized coaching sessions focusing on positional play and sports psychology. Additionally, partnerships with local schools and sponsors are being explored to offer scholarships, enabling more children from diverse backgrounds to participate.

The camp, which takes place in Jördenstorf, attracts participants from various regions, with some travelling long distances from cities like Hannover and Hamburg. The football camp offers a wide range of training activities, including agility exercises, "One against One" challenges, and passing games, ensuring that each child receives personalised and effective coaching.
Mila Werschmüller, an advocate for women's football, believes that female players should be compensated fairly for their performances, reflecting the club's commitment to gender equality. The camp is staffed by 16 trainers, including two from TSV Thürkow and one woman from Sukower SV, ensuring a diverse and knowledgeable team of coaches.
As SV Jördenstorf's football camp continues to grow and evolve, it is clear that the club is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of football talent while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all its participants.
