Oberlin College's CLEAR Mentorship Program Expands to Support Students

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLEAR) at Oberlin College offers a comprehensive mentorship programme designed to support students across various departments, particularly in STEM courses. The programme, which originated with the OWLS initiative in the early 2010s, has since expanded to include HOOTs and QUAILs.

The CLEAR Wiki, an online platform, serves as a digital resource for accessing session details of current mentors. This tool is invaluable for students seeking information about current mentors' schedules. The Wiki is updated regularly to reflect the current session times and locations of mentors.

Beyond the CLEAR mentorship programs, Oberlin provides a range of academic resources and support systems. These include academic advisors, Peer Advising Leaders (PALs), success coaches, and Resident Assistants (RAs). These roles form a personalized advising and support network to help students navigate their academic journey and campus life effectively.

In addition to the mentorship programmes, Oberlin offers access to over 175 student organizations for involvement outside the classroom and leadership development programmes to cultivate skills beyond academics.

While the Robinson Scholarship is a financial aid program for eligible Oberlin High School students to attend Oberlin College tuition-free, it is not a direct academic resource. For the most precise details about Oberlin’s current academic offerings, contacting the student services or academic advising office is recommended.

The CLEAR mentorship programmes are essential in supporting STEM courses, ranging from introductory to upper level classes. The positions available within these programmes are designed for students to apply and contribute to the mentorship community. For more information about each individual position within CLEAR's mentorship programs, click below.

In conclusion, the CLEAR mentorship program, along with the other academic resources and support systems at Oberlin, forms a robust network to help students succeed academically and personally. The CLEAR Wiki, in particular, is a valuable tool for students seeking information about current mentors' session details.
