About the Role
As a Senior Python Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of Doximity's dedicated team of doers, passionate about improving inefficiencies in the $4.3 trillion U.S. healthcare system. Your role will focus on the data platform, requiring strong Python skills and experience maintaining and evolving data infrastructure used by data teams.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess strong proficiency in Python for backend and data platform development. Experience with large-scale data systems and cloud platforms is essential. Familiarity with data engineering, querying, and data pipeline tools is also required.
You should be able to collaborate cross-functionally with data teams, product managers, and engineers. Experience with software engineering best practices, testing, and scalable system design is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing Doximity’s data platform software layer, supporting data teams by providing reliable, scalable data infrastructure, and developing and deploying data ingestion, transformation, and querying systems. You will also collaborate in defining and implementing data solutions and engineering strategy.
Compensation
The salary range for a Senior Software Engineer (Python), Data Platform at Doximity is approximately $165,000 to $195,000 per year for remote roles in the U.S. These figures may be supplemented by bonuses, stock options, and other benefits.
The median base pay for remote data-related roles at Doximity sits around $143,000, with some variation based on experience and location.
