Foreign researchers, hailing from various nations, have made their way to Yakutsk to join the competition

The Asia-Pacific Conference of Young Researchers (APCYS-2019) is underway in Yakutsk, Russia, marking its eighth edition and the first time the event is being held in this Siberian city. The conference, organised by the Asia-Pacific Conference of Young Researchers (APCYS), is being held under the auspices of the republic's Ministry of Education and Science.

From October 14 to October 20, young researchers from eleven countries will gather to showcase their innovative projects and exchange ideas. The participating countries include China, the USA, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Slovenia, Thailand, Singapore, and Russia. The official opening of APCYS-2019 will take place tomorrow, October 15, at 10:00 AM in the auditorium of the Republican Lyceum-Internat.

APCYS-2019 is following the standards of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), which ensures a high level of scientific rigour and innovation. The conference is the most prestigious exhibition-competition of school research projects in the Pacific region.

During the week-long event, participants will engage in scientific presentations, poster sessions, workshops, panel discussions, and networking events across multiple disciplines. In addition, there will be parallel cultural and social events to promote intercultural exchange among participants.

The II Yakutsk International Science Fair - 2019 will be held in parallel with APCYS-2019, further enriching the scientific and cultural exchange. The previous seven conferences of APCYS were held in Indonesia, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Nepal, and Thailand.
