Hungary's Night of Power Plants Returns on 17 October

On 17 October, Hungary's Night of Power Plants returns, offering students a unique chance to explore energy and utility providers first-hand. Over 50 companies, including power plants, district heating systems, water companies, and waste management facilities, will participate. This year, the event introduces new venues like the Püspökszilágy radioactive waste storage site and Hungary's largest oil refinery.

The Night of Power Plants aims to provide career guidance for students interested in the energy sector. Visitors can delve into these facilities with expert guides, learning how energy and utility services reach Hungarian homes. Registration opens on 1 October at eromuvekejszakaja.hu.

The event is organized by the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH) and its partners. Television presenter Csaba Gyetván serves as the event's ambassador. Notably, the Night of Power Plants coincides with District Heating Day, organized by the Hungarian District Heating Association (MaTáSzSz). Further updates can be found on MEKH's Facebook page.
