IHKs and DIHK Launch 'Training Makes More of Us' Campaign to Connect Youth and Businesses

The Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) and the German Chamber of Commerce (DIHK) have launched a nationwide campaign, 'Training makes more of us', to promote training and connect young people with businesses. The initiative, which is currently in its application phase, is using unconventional methods to engage with the next generation of apprentices.

The campaign, which is running on popular social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, is reaching a wide audience through the 'die.Azubis' channel, which boasts over 75,000 subscribers and several hundred million views. It aims to inspire young people and their families to consider open training places and a professional future connected to them.

In regions such as Krefeld, Mönchengladbach, Landkreis Viersen, and Rhein-Kreis Neuss, prominent companies like Bayer AG, Covestro AG, Evonik Industries AG, and LANXESS AG are participating in the 'Training makes more of us' campaign. The campaign uses fresh, cheeky slogans to appeal to the target audience, such as 'Don't worry, they'll do something.' and 'Not fake, but capable.' It also employs unconventional advertising mediums like bakery bags with slogans like 'Don't be a crumb.' and 'Bread is well-trained.'

The IHKs continue to rely on regional actions such as consulting offers and apprentice fairs to bring young people and businesses together. The 'Training makes more of us' campaign is a part of this effort, aiming to create a new awareness of the importance of training and actively contribute to connecting young people and businesses. With the application phase already underway, the campaign is poised to make a significant impact on the next generation of apprentices.
