In a significant move for the Romanian education sector, investment firm Mozaik Investments has acquired a majority stake in Genesis College, a leading private educational institution in Bucharest. This strategic partnership aims to propel Genesis College to new heights, with plans to relocate all educational levels to a repurposed building in the former Petrom Tower.

The future expansion plan, subject to approval by Romania’s Competition Council, promises to double the student capacity from 500 to 1,000 immediately, with the potential to host up to 3,000 students in the long run. This ambitious growth is backed by a substantial €30 million investment, primarily focused on upgrading the campus infrastructure and expanding the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum offered by the school.

Vlad Busulaga, managing partner of Mozaik Investments, has expressed a firm commitment to supporting the expansion and consolidation of Genesis College. He appreciates the institution's performance, leadership team, and organizational culture, stating that the association represents a validation of their efforts to build a high-performing educational system.

The new location of Genesis College will be the former Petrom Tower building, part of Petrom City, in northern Bucharest. This move aligns with Mozaik Investments' area of interest, which is centered on Central and Eastern Europe, with offices in Bucharest and Vienna.

Genesis College, one of the few institutions in Romania accredited to carry out all three programs of the International Baccalaureate educational system, offers all educational levels, from kindergarten to high school. The expansion includes the development of the IB curriculum (Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma Programs) and the creation of new campuses to further grow the educational network sustainably and attract top teachers.

Mozaik Investments' other investments in Romania include 5 To Go (a coffee chain), Flavours / Stradale (a food management company), and Pago (a fintech company). This transaction underscores the firm's commitment to supporting essential sectors in the region.

The acquisition of Genesis College by Mozaik Investments marks a significant step in the evolution of private education in Romania. With its proven entrepreneurial model and profound social impact, Genesis College is poised to deliver international-level education adapted to future challenges, setting a new standard for private education in the country.
