Isselhorst Primary Welcomes Nicole Lassek as New Headmistress

Isselhorst Academy has welcomed Nicole Lassek as its new headmistress, succeeding Claudia Damian. Lassek, who previously served as deputy headmistress for nine years, took over on August 1, 2025. Tim Neubauer, head of the School Department in Gütersloh, wished her success in the new role.

Lassek has been preparing for this takeover for the past two years. Her focus as headmistress will be the further integration of school and OGS (after-school care) to ensure a holistic view of each child's development. She also plans to implement the 'New Authority' concept to strengthen the role of teachers as learning companions.

In addition to these educational initiatives, Lassek is overseeing renovation measures in the main building. These conversions will adapt learning spaces according to modern pedagogical requirements. Improvements in catering and administration are also planned to enhance the overall school experience.

Nicole Lassek's leadership at Isselhorst Academy is set to bring about significant changes, from modernising learning spaces to integrating school and after-school care. With the extension building already providing space for two grades, the school looks forward to a future of growth and improvement under Lassek's guidance.
