Kenya's Digital Economy Project Marks Progress in High-Level Meeting

The Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP) marked progress with a high-level meeting between the ICT Authority, led by Acting CEO Zilpher Owiti, and the Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs (MOICDE). The zoom meeting, held in partnership with the World Bank, assessed the project's milestones and discussed challenges and collaboration.

Owiti commended the project's advancements since the last meeting and emphasized the Authority's focus on increasing project absorption and sustaining long-term benefits. Participants expressed confidence in the project's trajectory and reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration, innovation, and timely execution.

The meeting centered around assessing implementation milestones, addressing challenges, and strengthening collaboration for Kenya's digital transformation. Eng. John Tanui, CBS, reaffirmed the government's commitment to expanding digital connectivity nationwide, particularly in rural areas. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, highlighted progress in digitizing and standardizing government information to promote transparency and efficiency in public service delivery.

The ICT Authority, in partnership with the World Bank and MOICDE, reviewed the progress of the Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project. The meeting underscored the project's achievements and the commitment to continued collaboration and innovation for Kenya's digital transformation.
