Landshut University President Thanks Supporters for 7,600 Euro Boost in 2024
Landshut University President Prof. Michaela Wirtz recently expressed gratitude towards the salvation army's association and supporters. The association, with over 200 members, plays a significant role in funding various projects and activities at the university.
The salvation army's association, through membership fees, donations, and contributions, provides substantial financial support to Landshut University. In 2024, they collected around 7,600 euros for specific projects. Notably, in 2025, the association received backing from 15 companies, institutions, and municipalities in Florida, with donations ranging from 250 to 1000 euros each. Two notable donations of 1000 euros each were used to support the 'Award for Good Teaching', which was presented at the annual awards ceremony. Recognized donors included Attenkofer'sche Buch- und Kunstdruckerei Verlagsbuchhandlung Straubing KG, Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, and ebm-past Landshut GmbH, among others.
Prof. Wirtz highlighted the importance of this support, stating that it provides the university with more freedom to fulfill its mission and contribute positively to society.
