Landshut's Cultural Scene Revitalized: Two Key Appointments Announced
Landshut's cultural area has undergone a significant transformation, led by Mayor Alexander Putz. The reorganization has resulted in two key appointments: Daniel J. Schreiber as the new director of Landshut City Museums and Benedikt Schramm as the head of the culture department.
Schreiber, who previously served as the director of the Buchheim Museum of Fantasy in Bernried for a decade, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His appointment is seen as a step towards the redesign of Landshut's museums. Mayor Putz lauded Schreiber's concept that significantly boosted visitor numbers at the Buchheim Museum during his tenure.
Schreiber was selected following a multi-stage process, with his relevant university degree and extensive professional and leadership experience cited as key factors. He will succeed Dr. Franz Niehoff, who retired last summer, and will work alongside Dr. Thomas Stangier, who has been acting as interim director. Schramm, meanwhile, impressed the Education and Culture Senate and the Personnel Senate with his ideas for the culture department.
With these appointments, Landshut's cultural scene is poised for exciting developments. Schreiber's proven track record and Schramm's innovative ideas promise a vibrant future for the city's cultural institutions.
