Schreiber, who previously served as the director of the Buchheim Museum of Fantasy in Bernried for a decade, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His appointment is seen as a step towards the redesign of Landshut's museums. Mayor Putz lauded Schreiber's concept that significantly boosted visitor numbers at the Buchheim Museum during his tenure.
Schreiber was selected following a multi-stage process, with his relevant university degree and extensive professional and leadership experience cited as key factors. He will succeed Dr. Franz Niehoff, who retired last summer, and will work alongside Dr. Thomas Stangier, who has been acting as interim director.
