Launch of RIDE 2025 Program: Collaborative Initiative by Our Website and MIT-WPU to Educate 7,500 Students
The Ignite Bootcamp: RIDE 2025, an innovative initiative aimed at breaking the Asian record for the highest number of digital business registrations in a single day, has been launched in partnership between The Foundation and Dr. Vishwanath Karad's MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU).
This accredited course, designed for second-year university students from 30 departments across 12 faculties of MIT-WPU, is a crucial step in creating impact beyond the classroom, according to Dr. Rahul Karad, CEO of MAEER's MIT and Executive President of MAEER's MIT World Peace University.
Rajeev Warrier, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Initiative at The Foundation, expressed that this partnership reflects a commitment to providing students with real-world opportunities in entrepreneurship. Dr. Rahul Karad also emphasised that the initiative is not just about starting businesses, but about forming confident, creative, problem-solving individuals.
The top 150 businesses from the Ignite Bootcamp will have the opportunity to present at the Start-up Expo 2025, scheduled from August 11-14. The top three finalists will then pitch live for additional funding, incubation, prizes, and trophies.
The Ignite Bootcamp is an integral part of MIT-WPU's flagship RIDE 2025 event, which focuses on Research, Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurial Spirit. The bootcamp is powered by The Foundation's Ignite program, which benefits over 150,000 students from more than 1,000 institutions worldwide.
MIT-WPU will preselect businesses, provide initial seed funding of INR 1,000,000 to the top 10 for prototype development, and offer incubation and acceleration support. The bootcamp is offered at no cost to the university and equips students with the tools, mentoring, and platforms they need to become job creators.
As India prioritises entrepreneurship for economic development, initiatives like the Ignite Bootcamp are important for tackling growing market challenges and opportunities. Dr. Rahul Karad believes that such initiatives are crucial for creating a pipeline of qualified innovators.
