Local Government of Kosofe Disperses 300 Unpaid GCE Application Forms Among Pupils

In the bustling city of Lagos, several significant initiatives have been launched, aiming to empower the youth and improve various sectors.

On Thursday, an interview about the distribution of General Certificate of Education (GCE) forms was conducted with NAN. The distribution, which took place under the Kosofe Edu-Support Initiative, was carried out on merit, ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities. This transparency and organisation were commended by many parents and students who spoke with NAN.

Mr Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State, played a pivotal role in this initiative. He obtained GCE forms for 300 indigent students within the council area, providing a life-changing opportunity for many. Mr Ogunlewe has been a driving force behind the initiative, which is part of his administration's commitment to youth empowerment and educational development in the council.

In a separate development, an association trained 60 mechanics on electric vehicle maintenance. This move is a step towards preparing the workforce for the future of transportation.

The SOHCAHTOA Foundation has also shown support for the Kosofe Edu-Support Initiative. However, the identity of the person behind the foundation remains undisclosed.

On a brighter note, a lighting expo opened in Lagos with 120 exhibitors. The event promises to showcase the latest in lighting technology and innovation, providing a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services.
