The union attributes the difficulties to a shortage of personnel, large class sizes, and insufficient individual support.
A significant percentage, about 43%, feel that inclusion offers inherent benefits, but they currently find special needs schools more suitable for their students. To make inclusion successful, support is essential, stressed Tomi Neckov, the deputy federal chairman of the union. Regrettably, the advancements from the 2020 survey do not appear to be substantial enough. As a result, nearly half of the surveyed educators express dissatisfaction, with over a third being extremely dissatisfied with their state's inclusion policy.
The survey involved a total of 2,737 teachers, rendering it representative of the educational community. Similar surveys have been carried out in 2015, 2017, and 2020.
