Mieroszewski Center & EIB Boost Central Europe Research, Focusing on Ukraine
The Mieroszewski Center, in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group, is boosting academic research in Central and Eastern Europe, with a special focus on Ukraine. This support aims to foster growth in life sciences, digital infrastructure, energy security, and transportation sectors.
The EIB Group is financing research and development projects, including a novel Life Sciences fund targeting therapies and medical technology for the central nervous system. Meanwhile, the Mieroszewski Center offers scholarships like 'Research in Ukraine' to support Ukrainian scholars studying Polish-Ukrainian political thought, cultural cooperation, and relations during Russian aggression.
Scholarships range from one month to a full academic year, with the 'A month in Poland' scholarship providing PLN 6500 for a month's research. These opportunities enable researchers to gain valuable experience, develop skills, and leave a personal mark on scientific projects. They also cover expenses, allowing scholars to focus on experiments, data gathering, and publishing findings without financial strain.
The Mieroszewski Center's 'Research in Ukraine' initiative and the EIB Group's financing demonstrate a commitment to supporting academic progress in challenging times. These efforts not only advance research but also foster international cooperation and development.
