Military education institution Park University to render aid to active service members impacted by recent alterations in Tuition Assistance qualifications
Park University Offers Support to U.S. Military Service Members
Park University, with a long-standing relationship with the U.S. military, continues to extend its support to active duty service members, guards, and reservists. Since 1918, the university has been committed to helping military personnel further their education.
For those interested in enrolling, active duty service members can do so online at military.our website or by calling the University's Office of Admissions at (888) 319-9522. New military students are exempt from the admission fee.
Over the years, Park University has received international recognition as a top military-friendly college and a "Best for Vets" private university in the country. Since 2009, it has been recognised by various military-related publications for its dedication to military education.
In times of need, Park University has shown its commitment to military personnel. In early 2019, the university offered assistance to members of the U.S. Coast Guard affected by the federal government shutdown. Similarly, in 2013, it offered emergency scholarships to active duty military students who weren't eligible for GI Bill benefits during the federal government's sequestration.
In addition to these initiatives, Park University offers a waiver for active duty service members, guards, and reservists enrolled for the Fall semester or Fall I term. This waiver is applicable after tuition assistance, GI Bill benefits, and federal student aid benefits have been exhausted, offering financial relief to those who have already utilised their educational benefits.
Thirty-three of Park's campuses are located on military installations across the country, making education easily accessible for military personnel.
For more specific information on the initiatives Park University has implemented since 2013 to offset federal tuition assistance limitations, contacting Park University’s military education office directly or reviewing their official military education webpage would be necessary.
Park University serves more than 16,000 students annually at 42 campuses in 22 states and online. For more information about education benefits offered by the VA, visit the official U.S. government website at https://www.benefits.va.gov/gibill.
