North Rhine-Westphalia Launches New Emergency Guide 'Self-Protection Tips'

North Rhine-Westphalia's Interior Minister Herbert Reul has announced a new guide, 'Self-Protection Tips for Disaster Situations', to help residents prepare for and respond to emergencies. The 31-page brochure will be freely distributed starting late September through various channels.

The guide, part of the 'Ready like never before' campaign, is designed to promote self-preparedness and engagement in civil engineering. It covers eleven common crisis scenarios, offering brief, understandable, and immediately applicable advice. Residents can access the digital version at https://www.im.nrw/themen/gefahrenabwehr/versionen_selbstschutzguide.

The guide is available in multiple formats to cater to different needs. These include print, audio, digital, easy-to-read language, and an editable version for municipalities. It provides practical help for various situations such as power outages, storms, and extreme heat. The guide will be distributed through Civil Protection Days, regional governments, and aid organizations like ASB, DLRG, DRK, JUH, MHD, VdF, and THW.

The new guide, 'Self-Protection Tips for Disaster Situations', is a comprehensive resource for North Rhine-Westphalia residents to prepare for and respond to emergencies. With its wide distribution and multiple formats, it aims to ensure everyone can access and understand the crucial information it provides.
