Scholarship Opportunities Announced for Health Programs in Nepal's Academic Session 2082/83

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has unveiled scholarship quotas for various diploma and certificate-level health programs in the academic session 2082/83. A total of 1601 scholarships are available, distributed across 12 programs and 8 provinces.

To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must have obtained a minimum of 2.0 GPA out of 4.0 in the aggregate. They must also meet the minimum educational qualifications to enroll in diploma and certificate-level health programs conducted by CTEVT, which vary depending on the program and the implementation of the grading system.

The province with the highest number of scholarships is Bagmati (484), followed by Koshi (257). The province with the least number of scholarships is Karnali (41), followed by Sudurpaschim (88).

The program with the most scholarships is Pharmacy (347), followed by General Medicine (HA) (438). A notable exception is the program of Acupuncture, Acupressure, and Moxibustion, which has only 3 scholarships available.

Midwifery has 4 scholarships, all of which are reserved for candidates from Madhesh and Bagmati provinces. The scholarships are divided into a general group and a targeted group. The general group consists of 100% of the allocated seats. The targeted group is reserved for specific categories, with women making up 28% of the seats, Dalit 9%, Indigenous Nationalities (Aadivasi Janajati) 15%, Khas Arya 17%, Madhesi 9%, Tharu 4%, Muslim 2%, People from Backward Areas 4%, Persons with Disabilities 2%, Families of Martyrs, Disappeared, Conflict Victims, Injured Fighters 2%.

All applicants seeking admission under the classified (free) scholarship quota must fill out the Online Application Form within the stipulated deadline. The single Online Application Form is applicable for both general and targeted groups. Candidates must submit a scanned copy of their Citizenship Certificate (or Birth Registration Certificate for minors), Academic Qualification Certificate or equivalent document, and other documents as required by their group.

Upon successful submission and approval, applicants can print the Application Acceptance Card, which must be kept safe for use during admission and registration. Technical stream candidates can only pursue further studies in programs related to their previous field of study.

Candidates who receive a scholarship must serve at designated locations for a specified period after completing their studies. The application fee for the online form is NPR 1,000. For any diploma or certificate-level program not listed above, the admission qualifications shall be as determined by the respective curriculum. Applications will only be considered at the provincial level where submitted.
