Ninth graders in Tomsk region exceed a thousand in number, unable to secure their graduation certificates.

Over a thousand ninth-graders in the Tomsk region have not received their graduation certificates.

In a recent announcement, it has been confirmed that retakes for ninth- and eleventh-grade students in the Tomsk region will take place from September 2nd to 23rd, 2025. This decision is in accordance with the federal schedule for retakes.

The retakes will provide an opportunity for students who did not pass their exams to improve their grades and potentially receive their diplomas. Both mandatory and optional subjects will be included in the retakes. For ninth-graders, the retakes will begin one day earlier than for eleventh-graders.

The situation among ninth-graders is more severe compared to eleventh-graders, with an estimated 1251 ninth-grade graduates in the Tomsk region failing to receive their diplomas due to unsatisfactory results in the 2025 state final exams. The main cause of this was failure in mathematics, experienced by 942 ninth-graders. A total of 60 students failed the Russian language, while 249 students failed both Russian and mathematics.

In contrast, the situation among eleventh-graders is much more peaceful. Only three students in the region failed both Russian and mathematics at the same time. A total of 2,603 eleventh-graders in Tomsk took the exams, with 101 people failing mathematics separately and 6 people failing Russian (four of whom were from Tomsk).

It is worth noting that to receive a diploma, eleventh-grade graduates must pass at least Russian and mathematics. This means that every eighth ninth-grader in the region did not receive a diploma. If the retake is successful, the students will still receive their diplomas.

For eleventh-graders, the retakes for Russian and mathematics at the basic level will take place from September 4th to 23rd, 2025. It is possible to retake one or several exams, including both mandatory subjects (Russian and mathematics) and two optional ones.

To obtain the precise numbers and reasons for the Tomsk region case in 2025, including how many students failed mathematics and Russian, you would need to consult official regional education department releases or reputable news sources reporting on the 2025 graduation statistics for Tomsk.

Education-and-self-development resources may provide insights into the challenges faced by students in the Tomsk region, particularly those who failed ninth-grade mathematics exams, with 942 students experiencing difficulties in this subject. General news outlets could offer detailed analysis and explanations on the 2025 graduation statistics in the Tomsk region, comparing the number of ninth-graders and eleventh-graders who failed their exams and discussing the implications of the retakes that will take place from September 2nd to 23rd, 2025.
