Phil Koosed Tops ASI's 2021 Power 50 List for Promo Industry Leadership

The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) has released its 2021 Power 50 list, honouring the most influential executives in the promotional products industry. The list, now in its 16th year, recognises seven newcomers and three pandemic-navigating executives.

The rankings are a blend of votes from previous Power 50 members, industry professional nominations, and ASI Media's assessment of each candidate's achievements and track record. The 2021 list was unveiled at the ASI Power Summit, where industry leaders discussed supply chain issues, market trends, and strategies for 2022.

Phil Koosed, founder of BAMKO, tops the list. Also serving as the chief strategy officer of Superior Group of Companies, BAMKO's parent company, Koosed steered BAMKO to a remarkable 78.5% increase in North American promo revenue in 2020. This surge, to $194 million, was the highest year-over-year rise among the Top 40 distributors. BAMKO's expansion into PPE during the pandemic significantly contributed to this growth.
