Qualys & AWS Team Up for Enhanced Cloud Security
Qualys, a leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance security and compliance in AWS environments. The partnership enables integration of AWS Golden Amazon Machine Image Pipeline with Qualys scanners, ensuring robust vulnerability and configuration assessments.
The collaboration begins with a sample implementation, demonstrating how to integrate a golden AMI pipeline with Qualys scanners. This integration allows for continuous and automated checks, eliminating vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in golden Amazon Machine Images (AMIs).
Qualys has published a GitHub repository and comprehensive documentation to guide users through this process. Additionally, Qualys is launching a blog series focused on integrating Qualys solutions into DevSecOps workflows, further securing cloud infrastructures.
To facilitate continuous scanning, Qualys plans to embed the Qualys Cloud Agent into approved golden AMIs. Furthermore, an AWS Lambda function will be implemented to process Qualys scan results and automate image approval based on vulnerability severity.
