Rally for Enhanced Pedestrian Safety for Children Planned for June 3rd
On June 3, 2025, the Freiburg Police Headquarters will join the nationwide traffic safety campaign, "sicher.mobil.leben," with a dedicated focus on the safety of young road users. Dubbed "Kinder im Blick," this action day aims to significantly reduce accidents involving minors.
Through targeted controls and preventive measures, the police will raise awareness about the dangers children and young people face on the roads. The main emphasis will be on school zones, kindergartens, and recreational areas, where traffic regulations will be enforced, and risky behavior will be addressed directly.
In addition to enforcement actions, informational events and interactive activities will be organized for school groups and youth organizations. The objective is to educate about safe road practices in an accessible manner.
Police officers will be stationed across Freiburg and surrounding districts—Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Emmendingen, Lörrach, and Waldshut—to ensure comprehensive coverage. This initiative forms part of a broader, nationwide effort to enhance traffic safety for children.
With this campaign, the Freiburg Police Headquarters aims to promote more responsible driving habits, safer coexistence on the roads, and stronger protection for the most vulnerable road users—children.
The Freiburg Police Headquarters is organizing informational events and interactive activities to promote education-and-self-development in traffic safety, focusing on personal-growth and awareness among young road users. These events aim to educate school groups and youth organizations about safe road practices, ultimately contributing to personal-growth and reduced accidents involving minors.
