RCCDSB Celebrates Faith-Based Learning with Pilgrimage and Community Day

The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board (RCCDSB) recently celebrated its commitment to faith-based learning with a series of events, including a pilgrimage and Christian Community Day, during Catholic Education Week and beyond.

The week-long celebration, themed 'Pilgrims of Hope', saw schools across the board participate in prayer services, attend Mass, and engage in classroom activities. The highlight was a 15.2 km pilgrimage on May 29, 2025, organized by the RCCDSB itself.

Bob Schreader, RCCDSB Chair, expressed his enthusiasm for Christian Community Day, which took place on May 16, 2025. The day featured a Mass led by Father Lukas Casta and an inspiring talk by guest speaker Hannah Beach. Additionally, the evangelization committee organized a Walking Pilgrimage from St. Michael's to St. James in Eganville, concluding with a Mass.

The RCCDSB remains steadfast in its mission to provide an inclusive Catholic learning community that educates both hearts and minds in the way of Christ. Through events like these, the board fosters an environment where faith is integral to the educational experience, preparing students to be thoughtful and engaged citizens.
