Record 400 Young People Benefit from Career Support Project

A record number of young people, nearly 400, from various schools across the city have benefited from a career support project this year. The project, conducted by an unnamed organization in collaboration with schools, has been running for almost 15 years. It aims to help young people present themselves confidently for apprenticeship positions through a 'Fit for Job Interviews' workshop.

The project, funded by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, offers individual support to young people through 'tandem partnerships' during their apprenticeship search. Volunteer mentors provide valuable feedback on application materials and personal presentation. This year, 64 students from Elisabeth-Selbert School in Zierenberg practiced their interview skills in real-life scenarios during a training session led by a team of 10 volunteer career mentors. The mentors, who enjoy their engagement, receive regular training to ensure their skills meet the current and target-group-oriented requirements.
