Rediscovering Purpose: Pupils from Oakridge Bachupally Take the Lead at NAE Summit 2025, Instigating Globally Significant Transformation
The NAE Student Summit 2025, held at The Village School in Houston, was a resounding success, showcasing student-led change, global citizenship, and purposeful learning. Over 160 students from 54 Nord Anglia Education (NAE) schools worldwide attended the event, including a delegation from Oakridge International School, Bachupally.
The summit kicked off with workshops led by Lisa Petro from Generation Global, focusing on the power of dialogue in fostering empathy, inclusion, and global change. Throughout the week, students engaged deeply with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and connected global frameworks to real-world case studies.
Oakridge students were at the forefront of this transformative experience. Siddhi from grade eleven shared a memorable experience of volunteering at the Houston food bank during the summit. Riya presented SuvriddhiOS, a platform promoting sustainable development in urban communities. Samyuktha shared HealthMirror, a student-led initiative improving health awareness among underserved populations.
The NAE Student Summit 2025 culminated in powerful capstone presentations, showcasing student plans to drive change in their communities. Ms. Anuradha, Principal of Oakridge Bachupally, expressed pride in the students' leadership, empathy, and commitment to global change.

With collaboration from UNICEF and partners like Generation Global and World’s Largest Lesson, workshops focused on fostering empathy, dialogue, advocacy skills, and global citizenship. The summit emphasized purposeful learning beyond academics, preparing students to become changemakers by engaging in community volunteering, co-creating solutions to UNICEF challenges, and developing leadership capacities in purposeful social impact.
Held in Houston, the first UNICEF-recognized Child-Friendly City in the U.S., the environment symbolized the summit’s focus on inclusive youth empowerment within a global community.
