Registration Year 2025

Preparing for college enrollment can seem daunting, but we've broken it down into manageable steps. Here's what you need to know about the enrollment process at our college.

Application Materials and Documents

To apply, you'll need to submit the following documents:

  • Official high school transcripts or GED certificates.
  • Standardized test scores such as SAT, ACT, or CLT.
  • Transcripts from any post-secondary institutions attended.
  • Application fee or a fee waiver.
  • Additional documentation, such as essays or proof of English proficiency for international students.

All documents must be official, typically sent directly from the issuing institutions or agencies, often in sealed envelopes.

Application Deadlines and Types

Colleges offer various deadlines such as Early Action (non-binding, early notification) and Regular Decision. Deadlines vary by institution but generally fall between November and January for freshmen applications. Some schools have non-rolling admissions, meaning all applications are considered after the deadline.

Admission Criteria

Admission criteria consider academic preparedness, holistic review, and competitiveness. Academic preparedness is measured by GPA, test scores, and coursework completion. Holistic review includes essays and extracurricular activities. Competitiveness varies by institution and program, with some offering guaranteed or pathway programs for transfer students.

Subject/Major Changes

At our college, students apply as either "undeclared" or directly into a major. Changing majors after enrollment is common but requires following college-specific procedures, usually handled by academic advising offices. Some competitive programs or majors have limited space and may require a separate application or admission process for transfer into the major.

Enrichment Opportunities and Voluntary Contribution

Enrichment activities are not government-funded, and the voluntary contribution supports various college facilities and activities. A £25 voluntary contribution is expected for these opportunities, unless already paid online or via QR code. Payment for the voluntary contribution can be made by card or cash at the appointment.

Enrolment Days

Enrolment days are scheduled to prepare students for their first day at college in September. Enrolment appointments include confirming the chosen course, sorting out admin, and checking grades. Bring Original Exam Results Slip, showcasing all exam grades achieved in Year 10 & 11. Bring a pen for the enrolment appointment.

Reminders

  • Bring a valid ID: Passport and a photocopy for British and Irish citizens; birth/ adoption certificate if no passport. Non-British passport holders need proof of eligibility to study in the UK. Further information about ID requirements can be found online.
  • If the enrolment letter is not received by the end of July, contact the Admissions Team at [email protected].
  • If unable to attend the enrolment appointment, complete a Holiday Provisional Enrolment Form (available online).
