Rooftop kit by Hall set to launch in late 2023
The city of Halle, Germany, is set to welcome a new kindergarten with a unique focus on sustainable education. The Kita FrohSinn, operated by the Halle Youth Workshop gGmbH, will be located on the roof of the Halle Shopping Park in Bruckdorf. The kindergarten is scheduled to open its doors later this year.
The new FrohSinn kindergarten will boast four spacious group rooms, capable of accommodating up to 80 children from birth to school entry. In addition, the Kita FrohSinn will temporarily use the rooms of the newly built kindergarten until its own building is completed at the end of the year. Both kindergartens will offer spaces for children.
The focus on sustainable education aligns with the broader trend of promoting environmentally friendly practices. To further this goal, the Kita FrohSinn has entered into collaborations with HEPs shops. These partnerships aim to provide insights into the origins of food and the fate of old clothing, with the objective of fostering a greater understanding of daily life and promoting sustainable consumption.
The kindergarten's unique setting on a shopping park roof offers a valuable learning experience for the children. Two outdoor areas on the roof will provide space for play, fun, and daily projects, reinforcing the hands-on approach to sustainable education.
Initiative applications from motivated educators are currently being accepted for both the kindergarten on the roof of the HEP and the newly built FrohSinn. With the opening of these innovative kindergartens, Halle continues to lead the way in providing exceptional educational opportunities for its youngest citizens.
While specific details about the cooperations between the "Sustainable Education" kindergartens in Halle and HEPs shops remain undetailed, further research may be necessary to gain a comprehensive understanding of these collaborations and the challenging questions they address. Local kindergarten project websites, municipal education offices in Halle, or HEP shops may provide additional insights into these partnerships.
