SAFE Program Concludes with Showcase of Innovative Food Security Solutions

The Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security Enhancement (SAFE) Acceleration Program is set to conclude with the SAFE Impact Showcase on October 3, 2025. This event will highlight innovative, grassroots solutions to food insecurity and climate change in Southeast Asia, showcasing how agritech and agri-enterprises can build resilience and promote sustainability.

Over the past three months, the program has helped refine business models and strengthen investment readiness for early-stage enterprises from Laos, Timor-Leste, and the Philippines. These enterprises, including Sansli Green from Timor-Leste and Katuparan Producers Cooperative from the Philippines, have developed inclusive, sustainable solutions that connect smallholder farmers to markets and promote organic practices.

Priya Thachadi, Co-founder and CEO of Villgro Philippines, has been instrumental in leading these efforts. She advocates for treating smallholder farmers as 'builders of the future' rather than beneficiaries, empowering them with tools, knowledge, and financing. Thachadi's leadership has been crucial for the SAFE Acceleration Program, which is implemented in partnership with SEARCA.

The SAFE Impact Showcase will be held on October 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM (GMT+8) via Zoom. It will provide an opportunity for funders, investors, and stakeholders to connect with presenting enterprises and support their community-driven, climate-smart agriculture solutions. The event marks the culmination of the SAFE Acceleration Program's work in promoting sustainable, inclusive agriculture and food security in Southeast Asia.
