The State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the exam pattern for the Probationary Officer (PO) recruitment 2025. The recruitment drive aims to fill 541 Probationary Officer vacancies. The SBI PO Exam consists of three phases: Prelims, Mains, and Phase III (Psychometric Test, Group Exercises, and Interview).

**Prelims Exam Pattern**

The Prelims Exam, totaling 100 marks and lasting for one hour, tests candidates on three major sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Each section consists of 40, 30, and 30 questions respectively, with a maximum of 40, 30, and 30 marks respectively. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, and there is no sectional cut-off. The Prelims is qualifying in nature, and marks are not counted in the final merit.

**Mains Exam Pattern**

The Mains Exam, lasting for three hours, consists of five objective test sections: Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and a Descriptive Test. The objective test sections carry a total of 200 marks, while the Descriptive Test carries 50 marks. Each objective test section has a duration of 45 minutes, except for Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, which lasts for 50 minutes. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer across objective sections. The mains exam is comprehensive and counts toward the final merit.

**Phase III**

Phase III consists of a Psychometric Test (qualifying), Group Exercise, and Interview. The performance in the psychometric test is shared with the interview panel.

**Summary Table**
