Singer Faryna Kicks Off Traffic Safety Concert Tour for 2,800 Children

Singer Faryna, renowned for advocating traffic safety among children, launched a series of concerts this year. The tour, organized by the Herford district's traffic safety working group, aims to reach all first-graders in the region, around 2,800 children in total.

Faryna, who received the 'Rote Ritter' award in 2022, began the tour with a participatory concert in Vlotho's Kulturfabrik. The event, attended by County Commissioner Jürgen Müller, saw Faryna sing songs teaching children about visibility, traffic light use, safe cycling, and school street safety. The concert featured plush traffic light figures 'Red' and 'Green', and active support from Andrea Kumpert, the local police's traffic safety advisor. Müller was thrilled by the children's enthusiasm and even joined Faryna on stage.

The 'Safe in Traffic' project, initiated seven years ago, has had a significant impact. Faryna's concerts have been a key part of this, with the singer previously awarded the 'Red Knight' by the Children's Accident Help e.V.

Faryna will give over 15 concerts this year, visiting every town and municipality in the Herford district. The project aims to educate and engage children in traffic safety, with the support of local authorities and police. The success of the initiative is evident in Faryna's awards and the enthusiasm of the children.
