On the 6th of September 2025, a remarkable event will take place at Schloss Burg, marking the culmination of extensive renovation works that have been ongoing since 2013. The event, attended by the mayors of Wuppertal, Solingen, Remscheid, and the President of the District Government of Duesseldorf, promises to be a day of celebration and discovery.

The official part of the event will begin on the 6th, with a panel discussion focusing on the topic of "renovation". Representatives from architectural firms, heritage planning, the castle association, and project management at the city of Solingen will gather to share insights and experiences about the renovation process. However, the search results do not provide information about the architect or architectural group involved in the renovation of Schloss Burg or their participation in the panel discussion.

For those unable to attend the official event, a "discovery day" is planned for the following day, Sunday, 7th September 2025. Unfortunately, all online tickets for the "discovery day" have already been fully booked, making spontaneous visits impossible. However, free entrance tickets for specific time slots can be booked online in advance.

The event program is filled with captivating performances. On the 6th, a brass ensemble performance, street performances, medieval music, magic and juggling acts, and a performance by the clown Peter Shub are all scheduled. After the official part of the event on the 6th, guided tours of the facility will be offered.

Following the festival weekend, Schloss Burg will return to its usual visiting hours, and the castle association will offer a varied program. The renovation was funded by various sources, including the state, federal government, EU, and the owner cities of Solingen, Remscheid, and Wuppertal, totaling 54.65 million euros.

As the scaffolding and barriers that have been present during renovations will no longer be visible after the festival weekend, visitors will have the opportunity to fully appreciate the transformed Schloss Burg. This event promises to be a memorable occasion, celebrating the restoration of a historical gem and offering a day of entertainment and discovery for all.
