The Proliferation of Wheelzia

In the heart of the College of the Holy Cross, Wheeler Hall, affectionately known as "The Wheelhouse," is a hub of life, laughter, and friendship. The residents of this vibrant community have cultivated a unique bond, one that extends beyond the ordinary - they have created their own secret language, Wheelzian.

This exclusive language, Wheelzian, serves as a means to keep their social activities within their community, preserving its exclusivity. However, this has caused a stir among students who feel left out, struggling to understand the cryptic conversations that fill the halls of Wheeler.

One student who has excelled in Wheelzian after just a few short months is Frankie Fiasco, a typical Holy Cross student from the classes of 2025, 2026, 2027, or 2028, hailing from Massachusetts or Long Island. Frankie's quick mastery of Wheelzian has left many in awe, including the Commander in Chief of Campus Gossip, Viveca Stucke.

The College of the Holy Cross, along with envious students, are grappling to comprehend the intricacies of Wheelzian. Yet, the residents of Wheeler seem to revel in the joy of their secret language, approaching weekends like seasoned athletes, with the camaraderie within their community reminiscent of a shared sport.

Meanwhile, outside the walls of Wheeler, the College of the Holy Cross community came together for a different celebration. On September 7, 2024, Ciampi Hall was officially renamed Ciampi-Condron Hall during a special ceremony. The event was attended by various members of the Holy Cross community, including members of the Board of Trustees, several college deans, President Rougeau, and alumni Bob Cousy.

Elsewhere on campus, Healy Hall hosted its annual Haunted House on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. Transforming the residence hall into a spooky-filled experience, the Haunted House was a success, hosted by the Healy Hall Council and adorned with eerie decorations.

As for Wheeler, the secret language continues to thrive, with residents celebrating their unique bond. The mystery of Wheelzian may remain unsolved for many, but the spirit of camaraderie and friendship within Wheeler Hall continues to shine brightly.

In a surprising twist, the "Crusader of the Week" feature for the week of October 31, 2024, is titled "Crusader of the Week 4/4: YOU!" Whether this is a nod to the secretive Wheelzian community or a call to the entire Holy Cross community to come together, remains to be seen.
