University of Leipzig researchers acknowledge their involvement to Academia Europaea
Award-Winning Scholars from the University of Leipzig Join the Esteemed Academia Europaea
Four brilliant minds from the University of Leipzig are proud to earn a spot in the Academia Europaea: Chemist Prof. Evamarie Hey-Hawkins, Physician Prof. Markus Löffler, Historian Prof. Stefan Troebst, and Communication Scientist Prof. Christian Pentzold. Established in 1988, the Academia Europaea has a mission to enhance research and education within Europe, foster international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and provide governments and international organizations with scientific guidance.
Evamarie Hey-Hawkins, an acclaimed chemist, couldn't be more thrilled about this recognition of her global contributions to the academic world. These new members will be officially inducted during the Academia Europaea's annual conference on October 16, 2025, in Barcelona.
