UPSC Introduces Transparent Answer Challenge System for Civil Services Exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced a significant change to its exam process. This move, driven by the demands of civil services aspirants, aims to enhance transparency. The new system will allow candidates to challenge answers and will involve the release of provisional answer keys post-exam.

UPSC will now publish the provisional answer key for the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam after the exam is conducted. This is a departure from the previous practice. Candidates will have the opportunity to challenge answers by submitting three reliable references. These references will then be assessed by a panel of subject experts.

The final answer key will be published only after the declaration of the final results. This change is aimed at providing more clarity to candidates about their performance in the exam. It is also expected to help candidates better prepare for the next stages of the selection process.

The UPSC's decision to release provisional answer keys and allow candidates to challenge answers is a step towards greater transparency in the exam process. This change is in response to the demands of civil services aspirants and is expected to benefit candidates by providing more information about their performance.
