Vietnam Unveils Humanoid Robot Amidst Digital Industry Boom
Vietnam's Vingroup has unveiled VinMotion, a humanoid robot capable of interacting with humans. This development comes amidst a growing digital landscape, with the country's digital technology industry projected to generate $152 billion in revenue by 2024. However, low investment in R&D and a lack of digital vision in many enterprises pose challenges.
VinMotion, developed by VinRobotics, a Vingroup subsidiary, is a testament to the country's technological advancements. Meanwhile, Viet Nam's overall R&D investment stands at a mere 0.42% of GDP, highlighting the need for increased investment in innovation.
The digital technology industry, however, is thriving. TPBank's success story is a case in point. The bank's digital transformation initiatives have led to 98% of customer transactions being conducted through digital channels. FPT Digital and MISA JSC are also playing significant roles, offering training and consulting services, and aiding businesses in adapting to new policies.
Vietnam's digital technology industry is booming, with the humanoid robot VinMotion being a notable achievement. However, low R&D investment and a lack of digital vision in many enterprises remain obstacles to overcome. As the industry continues to grow, addressing these challenges will be crucial for sustained progress.
